2013 Documentary Film Program | CNEX Workshop and Documentary Summit

The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program | CNEX Workshop and Documentary Summit in Beijing was designed to nurture documentary storytelling and encourage the diverse exchange of ideas. Chinese documentary project teams from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan participate in the Workshops, having been invited by Sundance and CNEX staff. Activities include one-to-one creative feedback meetings, pitch sessions and small-group discussions with international advisors, presentations, panels and productive discussions for larger audiences of artists, film professionals, broadcasters, educators, cultural leaders and stakeholders.

In 2013, the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program and Fund co-hosted its third Sundance/CNEX Workshop and second Documentary Summit in Beijing. Ten Chinese film projects were selected to participate in the workshop, and over 100 people from the Chinese film and media community attended the Documentary Summit.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
