2006 Sundance Institute at BAM

Sundance Institute shares with BAM a commitment to championing new ideas and diverse voices and
to developing audiences for innovative film, theater, and music.

During the Institute’s 25th anniversary year, we are creating new ways for audiences to experience the
exciting work of the independent artists we support. Presenting this series with BAM is a chance for us
to reach out to the vital artistic community that Brooklyn represents.

Straight from the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute at BAM presents fifteen independent feature films and eight shorts from some of the most dynamic emerging filmmakers in the U.S. and around the world. Ranging from documentaries on the war in Iraq and pressing social issues to comedies and cutting-edge shorts, these films represent the diversity of subjects and styles that audiences discovered at the Sundance Film Festival this year.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
