DICKGIRL 3D(X)

Description

This piece is housed at New Frontier at Kimball Art Center and is open to credential holders.

To attain a better understanding of VR, body horror, and the ways that commercial entities manufacture 3-D objects to embody and/or disembody our relationship to gender, the artist has created DICKGIRL 3D(X), a non-binary version of EVA v3.0, a female-gendered avatar used in the commercial world of adult entertainment and computer games. This VR experience invites you to settle into a vegan leather beanbag and become both a “porn star protagonist” and a “post-human pleasure seeker” in an energetic encounter with an unidentified, submissive, clay-like sculpture.

While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
