Description

Makin' Up, already a sleeper hit in director von Garnier's Germany, is a heartfelt romantic comedy with laughs. Sometimes the Simplest story is the hardest to pull off, but this rare film takes a less-than-earth-shattering event and subtly transforms it into revelation

Frenzy is a cartoonist who draws her inspiration from the trials and tribulations of her best friend. Maischa. Due to a serious lack of excitement in Maischa's love life lately. Frenzy is flat out of ideas. If she can't come up with something good by Monday. she's history. Desperately she asks Maischa to stay with her for the weekend. Things start with a bang when Maischa meets the most gorgeous guy she's ever seen. Next comes getting ready for the date, the date, then the setup-your-bestfriend ·with-your·date's-best-friend date. etc.

A pleasure on all levels. Makin' Up is honest and good-natured. It reminds us how much fun it is to laugh at ourselves, and everyone else
