Description
Rebecca is a girl on the verge. Actually, she's in full-tilt emotional meltdown. Her Barbie dreams and dream house are in shambles after she catches her hunky Ken banging another doll. Rebecca finds herself on the street—well, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to be precise—with no love and no plans except a half-baked vision quest (courtesy of a goofy fortune-teller) to "find the white pony."
Dirty Love is the hilarious manifestation of the warped minds of director John Asher and writer/star Jenny McCarthy. Who knew McCarthy was a master at physical comedy? She literally throws herself from one comic situation into another (and, although she has a rocking body, her best comedic asset is her ever-expressive face); Dirty Love could well establish her as the Lucille Ball of the new millennium. McCarthy is backed by a zany supporting cast playing her so-called friends, including Carmen Electra as a homogenized homegirl, Kam Heskin as a ditsy blonde actress, and Eddie Kaye Thomas as the Cinderfella who would do anything for Rebecca if she would just notice him.
A laugh-out-loud send-up of life in L.A., the hijinks in Dirty Love are unforgettable and outrageous. With political correctness out of the question, Asher and McCarthy blithely bounce across a comic minefield where few dare to tread.
