Master of cutting satire, sharp pictorial wit and grand historical send-up, Richard Lester joins us over his birthday weekend to discuss his career and work. In addition to the five films presented at the Festival, Mr. Lester has also directed Help! (1965), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum [1966}, The Three Musketeers (1974), The Four Musketeers [1975}, The Return of the Musketeers [1989), Royal Flash (1976) and Superman II (1981} and Superman III (1983). He is currently working with Paul McCartney on a new concert portrait film called Get Back
