Description
Ulysses and his friends are navigating the strange and often bewildering city of Los Angeles, oscillating between earnest relationship discussions and surreal sexual adventures. Haunted by recurring nightmares that he believes are indicative of a vast conspiracy, Ulysses is struggling to find his purpose in LA and obsessing over tracking down an elusive dating-app match with whom he shared a seemingly otherworldly hookup. He is grounded by his longtime friendship with Ford, a beefcake screenwriter who is dating Severine, a sexually voracious astrobiological theorist. Rounding out their squad is Carly, an aspiring actress and covert cam-girl whose relationship with her boyfriend finally sparks when they start to explore BDSM.
Gregg Araki (White Bird in a Blizzard) returns to the Festival with a vibrant and fast-moving series, co-written by sex columnist Karley Sciortino and executive produced by Steven Soderbergh. This unique coming-of-age tale explores identity, sexuality, and artistry with a dark, mythic tone that could reveal a monstrous conspiracy … or could just be too much weed.
The first three episodes of the series are presented here, followed by a Q&A with creator/director Gregg Araki and cast.
