Description

The first documentary short, Real Indian, is a personal account of the challenges presented by the existence of cultural stereotypes even within the Indian community. Within the context of the filmmaker’s Lumbee heritage, she addresses issues of identity among Native people whose tribes are without reservations or an intact language and questions what makes an Indian.
