Description

One night in Texas, four estranged brothers learn of the death of their father.

“The Edward Boys” include Paul, the eldest, who is a successful contractor in Dallas; Mark, a hard-drinking construction foreman who, until recently, worked for Paul; Luke, a struggling photographer living in Austin; and Johnny, the youngest of the brothers, out of work and living in the Edwards family home in East Texas. The brothers and their families arrive at the country house to join their mother and make arrangements for the funeral.

Conflicts escalate during the two days that the family spends together, culminating in a long intense night of confrontation. At its end, the barriers between them fall away and for a fleeting instant, the Edwards Boys share a fragile moment of peace and understanding.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
