Description

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy was killed, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? 11.22.63 follows Jake Epping, an ordinary high school teacher who is presented with the unthinkable mission of traveling back in time to prevent the assassination. Jake is willing to live in the past in order to solve what is perhaps the greatest mystery of the twentieth century. As he tries to rewrite history, he discovers that the past does not want to be changed, and it will do anything to stop him.
Two of the most venerated storytellers working today, J.J. Abrams and Stephen King, join forces with prolific indie force, James Franco to create a gripping time travel tale that is thoroughly entertaining.

The Festival debuts the two-hour pilot of the nine-hour event series, followed by a conversation and Q&A with the filmmakers.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
