Paul Chaat Smith, a Comanche and well-known writer and activist, will host a panel focusing on issues that have affected the production of Native American films. A new generation of filmmakers will join with experienced producers and directors in a wide-ranging discussion on topics of interest, which include subject matter, the appropriation of Native stories by the industry, Native representation in the film industry, present production opportunities, and possibilities for change.
