Resistance is Fertile: Storytelling, Law & Activism, A Conversation Presented by the Bertha Foundation

Saturday, January 21, 12:30–2:00 p.m.

500 Main St.

This year's Festival features documentary films highlighting some of the most important events of our time. From Standing Rock to Syria, filmmakers are helping us engage with issues both close to and far from home. This panel will gather leading filmmakers, lawyers, and activists—including Dawn Porter (Trilogy Films), Vince Warren (Center for Constitutional Rights), and Winona LaDuke (Honor the Earth) with moderator Jess Search (BRITDOC)—to discuss how together we can build empathy, create movements, and enact change. Presented by the Bertha Foundation.

Panels are open to all Festival credential holders on a space-available basis.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
