Look Over Here: Crafting VR Narratives

Thursday, January 26, 4:30 p.m.
Filmmaker Lodge, 550 Main St.

Lynette Wallworth and Saschka Unseld are at the forefront of an emerging medium. Wallworth frequently explores environmental and social justice themes in her work, and Unseld is creating a collection of VR films with emotions at their core. In this fireside chat, the filmmakers will compare notes on writing and directing for a 360-degree screen. Saschka Unseld (Dear Angelica, Through You) co-founded Oculus Story Studio, where he works as creative director. Lynette Wallworth (Collisions) started showing her work at New Frontier in 2009, when her piece about refugees, Evolution of Fearlessness, startled viewers with its intimacy.

Panels are open to all Festival credential holders on a space-available basis.

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
