Workshop: Producers Confidential

The road of taking a film from the conceptual stage to the big screen is a long one fraught with obstacles. Even if you get through pre-production and the actual shoot, there are still the technical challenges of post-production to overcome. How does a first-time filmmaker face the daunting task of making a film for the first time?

On September 22, Sev Ohanian, producer of Searching, together with Boots Riley and Michael Chow, the director and producer of Sorry to Bother You, will share their experiences and what they had to overcome to get their respective films on the big screen. This workshop is not to be missed by aspiring filmmakers and producers alike. Workshop moderated by Paul Federbush (International Director, Feature Film Program, Sundance Institute).

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
