Calling the Shots: Women in Front of and Behind the Camera
This year's Sundance Film Festival features more women-directed films than ever before. And online, the story is no different. Female directors, artists, and creators are making their voices heard. Join us to hear from a panel of powerhouse women who are using digital media to own their narratives, build their brands, and ensure women's stories are also women-told. Panelists include Liza Koshy (YouTube creator, actress, host, and executive producer of Liza on Demand), Hannah Lux Davis (director), and Angela Courtin (global director of entertainment, media, and experience at YouTube). Moderated by Emily Tannenbaum (entertainment editor at Cosmopolitan magazine).

What Works, What Doesn't: Meet The Creatives behind Some of YouTube's Buzziest Channels
Global superstar talent (the likes of Will Smith, Gordon Ramsay, Kylie Jenner, Steph Curry, Jenna Dewan and Jason Momoa) are coming to YouTube to create unique and authentic content while directly engaging with their fans around the world. Hear from producers and creative leads who are behind some of these massive YouTube channels on what works—and what doesn’t—and how they approach their video content strategies to break through the noise. Join panelists Sada Turner (head of social media at Westbrook Entertainment), Brian Mendoza (partner/co-owner of On The Roam), Erienne Aurelius (director and filmmaker of On The Roam), Jason Momoa (partner/co-owner of On The Roam), and Lauren Fortner (Edit Media Group founder).

As you use our Online Archives, please understand that the information presented from Festivals, Labs, and other activities is taken directly from official publications from each year. While this information is limited and doesn't necessarily represent the full list of participants (e.g. actors and crew), it is the list given to us by the main film/play/project contact at the time, based on the space restrictions of our publications. Each entry in the Online Archives is meant as a historical record of a particular film, play, or project at the time of its involvement with Sundance Institute. For this reason, we can only amend an entry if a name is misspelled, or if the entry does not correctly reflect the original publication.
