From financing a short film and overcoming legal hurdles, collaborating with a DP and an editor, to working with SAG actors and members of your community, we’ll look at the ins and outs, trials and tribulations, dos and don’ts of the production process.

•Crowdfunding: A conversation with Kickstarter co-founder Yancey Strickler

•NYC filmmaking: Independent-filmmaking team Josh & Benny Safdie (Daddy Longlegs) will share their experience shooting in the big city and being part of the NYC filmmaking community.

•Collaborative Roundtable with a Director, a DP and an Editor

•Entertainment Law: Jonathan Gray (Senior Partner, Gray Krauss) will discuss common legal obstacles that arise when making a short film.

•Working with Actors: Michael Sladek (SAGIndie) will present the SAG Short Film Agreement.
