Description
Fathers and Sons portrays the life of a radical Islamist family in the North of Syria over the course of two years. Head of the family is the high-ranking Al-Nusra general Abu Osama Al- Suri, who is driven by the dream of an Islamic Caliphate and wants his sons to follow his footsteps and become Jihadi fighters. Talal Derki sets out to capture the turning point of when these children are faced with an extreme ideology that steals their youth and determines their path and destiny in a warzone area.
