Description
The 1859 Vigilante raids on the Acadian settlers of southwestern Louisiana provide a powerful setting for the tale of love. Belizaire Breauz, village healer and musician, is scapegoated as a murderer by a group of Vigilantes, but manages to turn adversity to his advantage and emerge from danger with romance and fortunes improved.
